Liz Allen
Director of Strategic Initiatives F1000/Visiting Senior Research Fellow, Policy Institute at King’s College London
Dr Liz Allen is involved in shaping new initiatives and partnerships to promote and foster open research. Prior to joining F1000 in 2015, she spent over a decade leading the Evaluation Team at the Wellcome Trust. Dr Allen is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in the Policy Institute at King's College London, with a particular interest in science policy research and research-related indicators. Liz is also a Crossref Board Director, co-founder and Chair of the CRediT Programme Committee (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) and serves on the Advisory Board for the Software Sustainability Institute. A social scientist by training, Liz has an undergraduate degree from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and a PhD from Queen Mary London.

Erik Arnold
Chairman of the Technopolis Group/Adjunct Professor in Research Policy at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) Stockholm
Dr Erik Arnold is a co-founder and group chairman of Technopolis, Adjunct Professor of Research Policy at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm and Honorary Professor at the University of Manchester. He has worked in research and innovation policy since 1980: at SPRU in 1980-85 and later at Technopolis. His research and innovation policy experience spans more than 30 countries from Norway to Australia.
Barry Bozeman
Barry Bozeman is Regents' Professor and Arizona Centennial Professor of Science and Technology Policy and Public Management, Arizona State University and Distinguished Visiting Professor, School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University.
Professor Bozeman's research focuses on research collaboration, research evaluation, public values in science and technology policy and credibility and policy impacts of science and technology. Ismael Rafols (Session CHAIR)
Ingenio (CSIC-UPV, Universitat Politènica de València), visiting professor at CWTS (University of Leiden) /adjunct faculty at SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit at the University of Sussex)
Dr. Rafols' research focuses on methods and tools for informing evaluation, research strategies, in particular fostering more plural S&T indicators, and exploring responsible and inclusive metrics. He also works on research priority setting in relation to societal needs, especially in health issues such as bird flu or obesity. Ismael received a PhD in biophysics (Tohoku, Japan) and an MSc in S&T Policy (SPRU, Sussex).

Cassidy Sugimoto
Professor, Indiana University / Program Director, Science of Science and Innovation Policy, National Science Foundation
Dr. Sugimoto's research is in the area of scholarly communication and science policy. Simply put, she studies the science system itself: focusing on the composition of the scientific workforce, the dissemination of scientific work to researchers and the public, and the nature of scientific rewards and labor. In addition to her roles at the NSF and IUB, she is also President of the International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics. She received an undergraduate degree in music performance, a master's degree in library science, and a doctoral degree in information science all from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
